About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the transition of new products from development into production. This role involves partnering with R&D, Production, Quality, and Materials teams to define specifications and processes, assess product manufacturability, and participate in design reviews. The engineer will also evaluate and recommend tooling, fixtures, and equipment, and support design changes post-production release. Additionally, the role includes assisting in developing inspection criteria, leading Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts, and developing/maintaining manufacturing processes and documentation. The engineer will design and enhance assembly fixtures, manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Orders (ECOs), collaborate with suppliers, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Methods of Manufacturing within ERP systems. This position also involves supporting quality investigations and providing technical guidance to production teams.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • SolidWorks
  • GDNT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Fabrication/machining industry experience
  • Comfortability on the manufacturing floor
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Responsibilities

  • Support the transition of new products from development into production

  • Participate in design reviews and approval processes

  • Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and documentation

  • Create and submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs); Review and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Collaborate with suppliers to define technical requirements and resolve issues
  • Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems
  • Partner cross-functionally to build and maintain Methods of Manufacturing in ERP
  • Support quality investigations and non-conformance resolution
  • Provide technical guidance to Production and Manufacturing teams
