About The Position

This role is for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in a regulated industry, focusing on New Product Introduction (NPI). The engineer will be responsible for creating shop orders, work orders, and routers for manufacturing and assembly processes. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and electromechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis is essential. The position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and relevant industry standards.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing Engineering / NPI experience in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Medical Device, Oil & Gas, Defense, etc.)
  • Shop Orders / Work Orders / Routers creation for manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience with ERP / MRP systems (SAP, IFS, PRISM, or equivalent)
  • Electromechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • A Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum eight years of work experience in a regulated industry (such as aerospace, medical, oil & gas) is required.
  • Proficient with the creation of shop order / work order / routers for a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with a shop floor management system (i.e. IFS, SAP, PRISM, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software)
  • Experience with manufacturing and testing electromechanical assemblies
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Experience designing, building, or testing circuit boards.
  • Experience with analog, digital circuits, and PCB design
  • Design, analysis, test, and simulation experience with controls and driving AC, DC, and brushless motor types for military or commercial aerospace equipment, systems or sub-systems.
  • Familiarity with ARP4754A, D-178C, DO-254, DO-160 and/or MIL-STD-810.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing, environmental testing standards, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing work instructions and assembly documentation
  • Create and maintain shop orders/work orders for production and qualification builds
  • Provide shop floor support during assembly and testing
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Support qualification, rework, and manufacturing improvements
  • Design or modify tooling, fixtures, and test aids as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements
