About The Position

GeoLogics is seeking qualified engineers for key roles within a Manufacturing Engineering Planning team in Palmdale. In this role, you'll be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Bill of Material and Order Bill of Materials. Other day-to-day tasks will include analyzing engineering drawings, models, specifications, processes, policies, and procedures to determine and plan the practical operations and sequence required to produce comprehensive work instructions and support documents. You will collaborate with Designers and Production Engineers by interpreting and advising on engineering, tooling, and manufacturing requirements to produce and compliance check electronic work instructions, including required revisions. You will also support management meetings, reviews, and program reviews by documenting and tracking items to completion.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret level clearance
  • BS and 9+ years or MS and 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experienced in standard manufacturing planning process and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and other applicable references.
  • Demonstrate a technical writing aptitude.
  • Possess strong communication skills, organization, scheduling and time management skills.
  • Hands on experience utilizing computer applications such as SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM along with model -based engineering systems; iBASEt, Teamcenter and 3DX.
  • Teamcenter and/or SAP relevant to Bill of Material and/or Shop Floor Management (SFM)
  • iBASEt (Solumina) and/or Computer Aided Production Planning (CAPP) and/or Shop Order Maintenance (SOM)
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning.

  • Aviation manufacturing experience a plus

Responsibilities
