About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer role is responsible for implementing and continuously improving standardized manufacturing processes using data-driven analysis to enhance efficiency, stability, and throughput. This position supports new machine setups, leads root-cause investigations, and drives corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and production variability. The individual contributes to floor-support and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, supports training needs, and contributes to cost-reduction initiatives and process optimization across the operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical experience required.
  • 3-7 years of manufacturing and engineering experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of: Manufacturing process development, documentation and improvement Engineering contributions to equipment efficiency and reliability Advanced project coordination and execution
  • Problem solver with demonstrated root cause analysis techniques.
  • Professional, respectful communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Practice in structured problem solving methodologies (i.e. DMAIC) desired.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work to improve and implement standardized manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce variability and improve data integrity.
  • Apply lean principles and automation tools to increase process stability and throughput.
  • Support installation and the setup of new machines and equipment.
  • Develop and execute inspection plans; conducts root-cause analysis for tool and process defects; recommend and verify corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update work instructions and reference documentation as processes evolve.
  • Troubleshoot mild to moderately complex manufacturing issues including wheel wear, burr formation, chatter, equipment errors, and data inconsistencies.
  • Analyze scrap rates provided by quality to identify trends and create solutions that support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality and Operations, to resolve bottlenecks and address product inconsistencies.
  • Support training for operators and team members within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and operators while engaging senior staff for advanced programming or operational support.
  • Review opportunities and recommend changes to improve efficiency, including tooling selection, process sequences, and sourcing strategies.
  • Execute cost-savings and process-improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
