About The Position

Responsible for tool design, automatization projects, and production optimization. This role involves CAD design and cost estimation for tooling and machines in close cooperation with the engineering and production team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to resolve complex technical machine and tool challenges quickly. Responsibilities include identifying cost-saving potentials in the production and tooling process and supporting their execution. The role also involves supporting the engineering team to validate part requirements and ensure tooling and machines meet spring specifications. Additionally, the position focuses on spring production process development and optimization in close cooperation with the production team, participating in the quality complaint process, and supporting corrective actions. A strong understanding of mechanics, materials science, and spring manufacturing processes is essential. The role will support international subsidiaries, with potential on-site travel. Key attributes include independence, dedication, willingness to collaborate, and the ability to work in a team. Focus areas include quality and machine rates, costs of tooling and spare parts, downtime, and reduction of production scrap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable field
  • Basic Computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Co-Pilot)
  • Strong knowledge in CAD tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SAP
  • Knowledge in PLC programming, robotic applications (Siemens preferred)
  • Experience in bending technology or other metal forming processes
  • Problem solving skills, root cause analysis
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities for testing and data analysis
  • Independence, dedication, willingness to collaborate, and ability to work in a team
