About The Position

Plan the day to day execution and technical support for existing manufacturing and the introduction of processes for new product development within the MICT organization. This includes procedural documentation updates, equipment qualification and/or design, and solving issues that arise on the manufacturing floor. Support efforts to consistently improve product and process quality. This role is recognized as a key manufacturing technology leader within their organization. Interface with global counter-parts to achieve program goals and integrate global activities when necessary. This is an on-site role at our Waukesha, WI manufacturing facility, supporting daily production activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience supporting day-to-day assembly or production operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software-driven systems
  • Hands-on experience with automation, fixtures, tooling, or assembly equipment
  • Working knowledge of Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, waste reduction)
  • Experience maintaining or configuring software-based production tools or automated systems
  • Demonstrated project management capability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Process Intensive manufacturing
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
  • Prior experience with complex, large assembly and electronics
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and/or work with Medical Devices

Responsibilities

  • Provide real‑time support to assembly operations, diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software‑related issues.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring production problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Support operators and technicians with clear documentation, training, and process guidance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Analyze workflow, cycle times, and bottlenecks to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Develop and maintain standard work, PFMEAs, control plans, and process documentation.
  • Design, specify, and implement automation solutions, fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve consistency and reduce manual variation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and integrators on equipment upgrades and new technology deployment.
  • Validate new equipment and tooling through trials, capability studies, and qualification protocols.
  • Oversee upkeep, configuration, and troubleshooting of software‑controlled production tools, testers, and automated systems.
  • Maintain revision control, backups, and change management for equipment software and process parameters.
  • Partner with IT/controls engineering to ensure system reliability and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects from concept through implementation, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure on‑time, in‑scope delivery of improvements.
  • Track project metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders.
