About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will improve the efficiency and scalability of manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly processes (including training), tools, and materials. This role involves conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting observations from technicians. The manufacturing environment also serves as an equipment showroom, so this role supports and creates a world-class manufacturing environment on the production floor, prioritizing efficiency, organization, and cleanliness. The position aims to build a strong sense of pride, culture, and teamwork through involvement, listening, and celebrating victories. It also involves establishing regularly occurring events that reinforce lean practices and 5S organizational tools, providing manufacturing decision-making information by establishing standards for production, labor, and material costs, and estimating future requirements. The role requires preparing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and maintaining the product and company safety record and reputation by complying with OSHA standards and government regulations. Additionally, it involves establishing and documenting maintenance requirements for tools and equipment, creating assembly videos for technician onboarding and training, and assuring product and process quality by designing appropriate testing or qualification methods and standards, and confirming manufacturing processes. Professional and technical knowledge is maintained by attending educational workshops, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Changes and improvements to standard processes and procedures are created and/or documented. The role also assists with other manufacturing needs, including supervision of Assembly Technicians, 5S/Lean practices, and other manufacturing processes from engineering to the finished product.

Requirements

Four-year degree in an engineering field.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Thorough understanding of assembly and testing processes learned through prior roles.
Prior experience in a high-production environment is required.
Team player. Must be able to hold others accountable, while also building collaboration and teamwork while under demanding circumstances.
Must be able to accept critique of work and maintain a positive attitude.
Experience with Excel and other Office products.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to direct a workforce to accomplish complex goals with aggressive timelines.

Microsoft Office proficiency.
