As an entry-level engineer, the position works under the guidance of other engineers and receives structured training to develop technical competence, engineering judgment, and familiarity with Philips procedures and regulatory requirements. This role is part of a Manufacturing Engineering organization of approximately 35 professionals, including Engineers, IT Specialists, Drafters, and Technicians, supporting site manufacturing operations. This role contributes to cross-functional execution and technical alignment across multiple disciplines. The engineer will provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing by maintaining process documentation and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, environmental, and legal requirements. This includes adherence to company General Business Principles and applicable internal policies. The role initiates, facilitates, and sustains continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events and structured problem-solving within the assigned area of expertise, driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The engineer will also support the installation, startup, and ramp-up of new equipment and manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth transition to full production. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders while maintaining required quality and safety standards. This position is fully on-site to effectively support manufacturing operations, with limited travel required for supplier visits or conferences (less than 5%).
