This position reports to: Production Development Manager __ The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite Your role and responsibilities: The Manufacturing Engineer will provide support to the manufacturing operations of the plant. Typical duties include process design, tooling design, capital project design and implementation, work instruction documentation, production and maintenance support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required) with minimum 2 years experience (preferred).
  • Ability to gather and analyze information to develop solutions and in turn develop strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years experience with manufacturing process review/development including strong understanding of lean process improvements
  • Experienced with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC and computer controls
  • Experienced with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks modeling software
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute engineering projects involving equipment, tooling, and process improvements, ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.
  • Manage capital projects from justification (CAPR) through procurement, installation, programming, training, documentation, and production support within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate project resources and design reviews, overseeing technical studies, specifications, layouts, and product testing for efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine equipment specifications, secure quotes, manage tooling supplies, and optimize manufacturing capabilities and processes.
