Manufacturing Engineer Technician 1st Shift

About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and adjusting production equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation. The technician will perform scheduled preventative maintenance, conduct equipment audits, and maintain accurate documentation. They will also make machine adjustments as requested by Quality Assurance to meet production and quality standards, and assist Engineering with building, maintaining, setting up, and improving production lines. The technician will respond to production floor calls, provide maintenance support to minimize downtime, investigate equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions. Additionally, they will assist with developing and maintaining spare parts inventory, complete assigned work orders, accurately document time worked, and follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, and work around industrial equipment.
  • Willingness to work around moving machinery, noise, dust, fumes, and chemicals while wearing required PPE.

Responsibilities
