About The Position

This is a Manufacturing Engineer Staff position on the Production Engineering (PE) F‑35 Strategic Corrective Action (SCA) team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role you will lead investigations of manufacturing discrepancies across multiple build sections, applying Lean Six Sigma tools to uncover root causes, close process gaps, and develop corrective action plans. You will work closely with Quality Engineering and Production Operations, coordinate cross functional teams, promote creative problem solving, and drive product improvement initiatives. Throughout each corrective action effort you will project manage the work from initiation through verification and closure, while tracking key metrics to reduce variation and elevate overall product quality.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including quality assurance, production operations, design engineering, industrial engineer, project engineer, manufacturing engineering, and/or process engineering.
  • Ability to apply structured root cause analysis techniques and corrective action plans.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration due to security clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • STEM Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, PowerPoint, SFM, Product Data Manager (PDM) and other LM Aero systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience on F-35 or other military aircraft.
