About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer Sr. (Electronics Fabrication, Level 3) is part of the Missiles and Fire Control Manufacturing Engineering team, supporting sustainment re-cap, re-certification (MRO), and Customer Field Service (CFS) for missile systems. The role involves developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, work instructions, and risk-mitigation plans, while also driving cost-reduction initiatives. Requirements

Ability to work independently and as a group with little guidance.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Ability to interpret drawings, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications, and other systems integration technical data.
Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and LM shop(s) Production Operations.
Bachelor's degree in an any STEM field or associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships.
Experience manufacturing electronic assemblies to IPC and J-STD specifications.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Must be a US citizen and has the ability to acquire secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
Current Active Secret Clearance.
Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience in automation, additive manufacturing, machining, CNC programming, CAD, or simulation software.
Experience with Government customers.
Expert in SAP, Apriso, Windchill PLM.
Six sigma Greenbelt of Blackbelt certified.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain work instructions, task lists, and re-work/repair procedures for circuit card assemblies, harnesses, and electromechanical sub-assemblies.
Identify production risks, develop mitigation plans, and lead validation activities on the shop floor.
Drive cost-reduction projects to closure and support testing, tooling, and hardware issue resolution.
Lead process-improvement initiatives using lean principles to reduce waste and improve affordability.
Collaborate with shop-floor personnel, program management, suppliers, and customers to ensure quality, schedule, and safety goals are met.
