About The Position

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer – Senior to join our team specializing in manufacturing for our Cummins’ business in Columbus, IN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Lead end-to-end manufacturing process development for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and business objectives. Apply advanced manufacturing principles to optimize equipment performance and drive efficient, scalable production processes. Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Cummins standards and tools to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality. Establish and standardize manufacturing methods and best practices to ensure consistency and operational excellence. Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders and external partners, to drive alignment and successful project outcomes. Coordinate cross-functional and external resources to execute project deliverables on time and within scope. Serve as a technical leader by sharing expertise, coaching stakeholders, and strengthening overall team capability. Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to support collaboration, knowledge sharing, and sustained process improvements.

Requirements

College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
3-5 years in manufacturing engineering, or relevant field, with demonstrated success in process improvement, capital project involvement, and leading engineering initiatives.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and GD&T
