About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will be working closely with the Welding, Fabrication, and Engineering teams on assigned projects for Keel. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to build process documentation, including fabrication and welding sequence, quality control/laser inspection work instructions, and the development of fabrication aids for HAB modules. You will also work on Bilge Block and Strongback Fabrication and welding sequence work instructions. A successful internship will demonstrate a reduction in nonconformance reports, an improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OE), and increased velocity to generate higher monthly revenue for the company.

Requirements

• In the process of earning a 4 Year bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Analytical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Cross-functional team skills.
• Relevant coursework and academic projects.
• Some prior full or part-time employment history.
• High energy, expeditious, ethical, optimistic/ready to help, and customer focused.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship experience or employment in a Manufacturing or Welding related field.
