About The Position

This position will be responsible for the development, management, and coordination of technical training throughout the PACCAR Engine Plant in Columbus MS. The Technical Training Coordinate will be responsible for interfacing with Department Manager to identify technical training gaps and working with external organizations to meet training and development needs. This position will also support continued development of (diesel, craft tech, etc.) programs.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (Prefer Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work self-directed in a project team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence others
  • Ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals
  • Proven abilities in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on excel and power point
  • 3-5 years minimum manufacturing experience (exhibited process and product knowledge)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience in a simultaneous engineering style project environment
  • Experience with CAD and/or CREO Parametric

Responsibilities

  • Review New Product Designs for Manufacturability
  • Provide Production Impact and Cost Analysis for New Product Designs
  • Develop and refine processes for new product launch
  • Create or update SOPs, PFMEAs, and Layouts for new product
  • Maintain and report status of schedule for projects
  • Specify and procure necessary tools and equipment to support new products
  • Actively participate in simultaneous engineering for new product development projects
  • Plan, define and implement the related equipment changes within the given time frame of the project
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers for modifications to be outsourced
  • Define equipment modifications with flexibility for future design and volume expansion
  • Use best practices from the Manufacturing Engineering group
  • Update control documents per ISO requirements for new product
  • Designs and implements shop aids and fixtures
