About The Position

International is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer Lead – S13 Assembly to join our Huntsville Engine Plant. This position is an active on the floor support position which could entail standing for long periods of time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in product manufacturing OR Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience in product manufacturing OR At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
  • We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
  • Must be proficient in computer usage including MS Office.
  • Must have thorough mechanical understanding of machines, tools, vehicles, and their design
  • Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude, ethics, and International Values
  • Must demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, problem sensitivity, and data analysis
  • Must have advanced mathematical skills; be able to use engineering judgment and critical thinking
  • Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed

Nice To Haves

  • Strong CAD experience, AutoCAD and NX Team Center preferred
  • Ability to design and implement 3D printed tools and fixtures
  • Familiarity with assembly tools including Atlas Copco DC torque tools, Camera Vision Systems, AGV’s, etc.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, etc.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and processes including 8D Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Support S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line in day-to-day production activities to help meet customer product demand
  • React to equipment uptime issues and drive towards permanent, cost-effective and long-term solutions
  • Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment
  • Standardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities’ manufacturing processes
  • Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality and production objectives
  • Lead implementation of engineering changes and variations from design specifications as well as new program developments
  • Perform product/process analysis for safety/ergonomics, quality improvement and improved efficiency
  • Initiate, develop, and pursue capital appropriation projects
