About The Position

International is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer Lead – S13 Assembly to join our Huntsville Engine Plant. This position is an active on the floor support position which could entail standing for long periods of time.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in product manufacturing OR Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience in product manufacturing OR At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Must be proficient in computer usage including MS Office.
Must have thorough mechanical understanding of machines, tools, vehicles, and their design
Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude, ethics, and International Values
Must demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, problem sensitivity, and data analysis
Must have advanced mathematical skills; be able to use engineering judgment and critical thinking
Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed

Nice To Haves

Strong CAD experience, AutoCAD and NX Team Center preferred
Ability to design and implement 3D printed tools and fixtures
Familiarity with assembly tools including Atlas Copco DC torque tools, Camera Vision Systems, AGV’s, etc.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, etc.
Familiarity with quality tools and processes including 8D Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, etc.
Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

Support S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line in day-to-day production activities to help meet customer product demand
React to equipment uptime issues and drive towards permanent, cost-effective and long-term solutions
Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment
Standardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities’ manufacturing processes
Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality and production objectives
Lead implementation of engineering changes and variations from design specifications as well as new program developments
Perform product/process analysis for safety/ergonomics, quality improvement and improved efficiency
Initiate, develop, and pursue capital appropriation projects
