About The Position

Aerosonic is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Engineer Intern for its Clearwater, FL facility. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity for a self-starter looking to develop their career in a dynamic aerospace company. The intern will be involved in developing and updating manufacturing processes, technical documentation, and tooling design.

Requirements

• Currently attending an accredited university for a degree as Manufacturing Engineer.
• Must be available full-time for six months.
• Must possess ability to work in and around an Engineering environment in a safe manner.
• Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with office support programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Solidworks (or equivalent CAD software).
• Strong problem-solving skills using sound judgement and attention to detail.
• 3D Printing Experience.
• Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, or protected person).

Responsibilities

• Development and updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, incorporating process improvements, equipment changes, and new regulatory requirements.
• Creation of step-by-step guides for work instructions for technicians and development of visual aids.
• Updating routers.
• Development of Process Flow Diagrams to document the sequence of operations, workflows, and interactions between different stages of production.
• Creation of process specifications to detail specific process parameters.
• Working with Engineers to design fixturing.
• Opportunity to work with Automation.
