About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern is responsible for completing manufacturing projects as assigned by the LEAN Manager. This role involves supporting Lean Manufacturing projects, producing production metrics, performing time studies, utilizing Solid Works for design, and creating SOPs and Work Instructions.

Requirements

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year College or university in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access
Computer assisted design (CAD) proficiency
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials

Responsibilities

Support Lean Manufacturing projects/Continuous Improvement
Produces production metrics and creates display boards.
Performs time studies to establish production standards
Utilizes Solid Works to create drawings for tools, parts, and work stations, etc.
Create SOP’s and Work Instructions
Other duties may be assigned
