About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Engineering Manufacturing Interns to join our dynamic team. As an Engineering Manufacturing Intern, you will play a key role in enhancing our fabrication and assembly processes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects related to process optimization, tooling implementation, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in manufacturing.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
- Does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)
Nice To Haves
- At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
- Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)
- Previous applicable internships
- Self-starter
- High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)
Responsibilities
- Optimizing assembly processes
- Designing, producing, and implementing error proofing devices to for validating assembly processes
- Setting up processes in our manufacturing execution system, including the creation of digital work instructions
- Identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements or moving work content to create a balanced flow
- Updating station and plant layouts as process changes occur
- Prototyping through 3D modeling and 3D printing
