About The Position

Trystar is a leader in power distribution, power conditioning, load bank, renewable energy equipment and related services, supporting our electrical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will play a vital role in driving the efficiency, quality, and productivity of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for analysis, implementing, and improving manufacturing methods and systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, you will contribute to the successful production of high-quality Trystar products for our customers. This position requires a willingness to learn, strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to optimize manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Trystar’s guiding principles and values.
  • Work directly with a mentor while finding solutions to real world problems
  • Work on projects that are related to your areas of interest and study with a high level of autonomy and ownership. These projects are designed to bring value to our business.
  • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques (waste observation/elimination, recovery, etc.).
  • Evaluates and troubleshoots process issues focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI) Metrics.
  • Delivers manufacturing cost reduction and continuous improvement projects and collaborates with the cross-functional team to complete assigned projects on time.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions, procedures, and documentation for manufacturing processes. Standardize operations to ensure consistency, safety, and quality.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the production team during the manufacturing process. Resolve production issues, implement process changes, and ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
  • Analyze and evaluate methods of production and communicate ways to improve current practices.
  • Experience our products up close by working in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in an on-site position at the Faribault, MN facility.
