About The Position

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain fabrication methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The role works with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and applies engineering and design-for-excellence principles to reduce manufacturing or product costs and improve quality. The engineer determines time standards, recommends tooling and process requirements, develops and uses test procedures, evaluates test results and work methods, and identifies root causes and corrective actions for assembly or system-testing issues. The position also performs Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis and provides reports as needed. The role is associated with MDP Chamber and Mainframe Test and includes a weekend rotation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
2–4 years of related experience.
