About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer III is responsible for developing mass-production engineering parameters (production, quality) for new business. This role involves developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, and providing ongoing technical support to production and maintenance to ensure effective use of production equipment and tooling. The engineer will develop and implement countermeasures for claims, IPD's, and downtime, and negotiate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, and parts. Additionally, the position requires investigating and coordinating Kaizen activities, and working with management, manufacturing, corporate officials, and other staff regarding machine capabilities, production schedules, and other cost considerations to facilitate production. The engineer will also develop the necessary equipment required to produce/assemble precise molded parts and to guarantee the quality of the parts as produced. A strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; years in a manufacturing/ engineering environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ME experience complimented with a degree.
  • Knowledge/skills for basic machine design.
  • Computer skills.
  • SolidWorks experience and be able to demonstrate capabilities.
  • Must have understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Responsibilities
