About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will enhance manufacturing processes through advanced engineering practices, complex problem-solving, and project management. You will lead capital and process-improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen safety, and maintain high product-quality standards. This position is onsite.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, including tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience applying continuous-improvement principles within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD software, with the ability to create detailed designs and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with technical documentation and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with experience using data-analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to five years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience is preferred.
  • Related internship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital and process-improvement projects aligned with company objectives, incorporating safety, risk mitigation, and operational-performance goals.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes.
  • Recommend improvements to existing equipment and help identify new equipment that can improve safety, quality, productivity, and operating costs.
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to determine product and equipment specifications, coordinate purchases, and evaluate equipment, parts, and materials for quality, performance, and safety.
  • Facilitate product-development meetings and provide manufacturing input.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and support continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Support company policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and good manufacturing practices.
