Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of Manufacturing experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cable fabrication including point to point, branched harnesses, and radio frequency
  • Experience with automated tooling, machinery, and programming
  • A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing methods through process modernization
  • Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques
  • Active CONFIDENTIAL or SECRET clearance

Responsibilities

  • Interpret manufacturing requirements, develop and maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), and document manufacturing practices
  • Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporating Engineering changes into the MDPs
  • Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and correction action analysis as required
  • Generate Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production manufacturing process
  • Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect), using Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
  • Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, in-house as well as the supply base
  • Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
