Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
Nice To Haves
- Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools
- Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES)
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the Advanced Electronic Subsystem (AES) TRIMM X-Band product line. This includes production floor support to operations, Continuous Improvement efforts, Defect Prevention Team (DPT) support, Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) readiness, Design interface and/or Change Requests (CR), and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE)
- Capturing lessons learned on current Production programs (ie Patriot, TPY, etc) and incorporating for future opportunity capture
- Training/Coaching junior engineers in the value stream
- Manufacturing and/or producibility reviews of new designs and other Concurrent engineering requests and/or tasks
- Investigating and driving resolution (including root cause and corrective action support) to production problems, including interfacing with suppliers/supplier quality and other value streams
- Ability to work cross functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, test, and design
