About The Position
As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will contribute to process development, quality improvement, NPI, hands on manufacturing and productivity enhancement in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and standards, while developing foundational expertise in manufacturing engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience working in an AS9100 environment
- Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and tooling design.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient manufacturing process plans with guidance from senior engineers, specifying sequence, technique, equipment, and tooling requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches to ensure product compliance with customer requirements.
- Assist in process capability study and analysis for CNC Program creation or improvements.
- Support the design, engineering and implementation of tooling for manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with shop floor associates to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen or Six Sigma to optimize processes.
- Review and recommend modifications to customer blueprints and other documentation with supervision from senior engineers.
- Maintain compliance with Pursuit Aerospace’s quality systems, safety protocols, and operational standards.
