The Opportunity In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. Requirements

  • Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical or any engineering or technical degree.
  • 0-3 years manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings
  • Ability to lead and motivate peers, drive change and solve problems with creativity
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing engineering experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Medical device experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Front line engineer supporting operations team
  • Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction
  • Have excellent organization, problem solving, communication, and team leadership skills
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions while supporting manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with peer engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations
  • Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using Lean manufacturing concepts
  • Coordinate the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipment
  • Partners closely with Quality, Product Development, Supply Chain and R&D Teams.
