About The Position

This role provides engineering support to the manufacturing organization to enable efficient production operations, optimize existing processes, and ensure production goals are met. The engineer monitors equipment and process performance, identifies and corrects issues affecting product quality and yield, and partners cross-functionally to integrate new products and technologies into manufacturing. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while developing technical expertise in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of science in engineering or a related STEM discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic quality systems and good documentation practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience in the medical device industry in a manufacturing support role
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Experience working in a production support environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating with manufacturing engineering, CAPA, risk management, supplier quality, and process engineering
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques, problem-solving methodologies, and statistical analysis

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete technical activities that lead to new or improved products and processes supporting current and next-generation programs
  • Analyze and solve engineering problems ranging from basic concepts to complex challenges requiring innovative solutions
  • Monitor equipment, machines, and tools; identify and correct issues impacting product quality, yield, or performance
  • Apply engineering principles, theories, and practices to support manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts
  • Partner with quality and research and development teams to integrate new products and processes into manufacturing
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Incorporate business policies, procedures, and customer needs into project execution
  • Build and leverage internal and external networks to accomplish objectives
  • Support training and onboarding of new employees and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and serve as a resource for technical interpretation and guidance
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and product quality by complying with all quality systems and procedures
