About The Position

SSW Advanced Technologies is seeking two high-potential, early-career engineers for a Manufacturing Engineer I role. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited professional experience who are eager to learn, solve problems, and grow their careers in manufacturing. The role offers hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations, equipment, tooling, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a curious engineer who enjoys working on the production floor, improving processes, and learning from experienced leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Internship, co-op, or hands-on manufacturing experience
  • Exposure to CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS or similar platforms
  • Coursework or projects involving: Manufacturing processes, Tooling and fixture design, Automation, Mechanical systems, Continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

  • Assist with manufacturing equipment setup and process implementation.
  • Support production startups, changeovers, and process validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and help identify root causes.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Support quality, safety, and productivity initiatives across the facility.
  • Support tooling and fixture design projects.
  • Assist with tooling modifications and improvements.
  • Create and update engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Work with production personnel to identify tooling-related opportunities.
  • Participate in process development and manufacturing optimization projects.
  • Support implementation of new tooling and equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and tooling challenges.
