About The Position

Manufacturing Engineer – Data Centers designs, improves, and supports the production workflows and test procedures for our data center fluid conveyance and hose assembly lines. This role bridges the gap between customer specifications and the factory floor to ensure all assemblies are built safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is an advanced role requiring a self-motivated professional who thrives on autonomy, takes full ownership of their projects, and drives factory-floor results without requiring day-to-day supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally involving fluid power, hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial hose assemblies.
  • Required proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor 3D, and Autodesk Vault.
  • Experience managing BOMs and routings in an ERP environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage shifting project priorities, and drive tasks to completion with minimal daily supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Prophet 21 / P21 ERP or Tour De Force CRM is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize production workflows, work instructions, and assembly methods specifically for data center hose systems.
  • Develop rigid pressure testing, inspection criteria, and quality checkpoints to ensure zero-defect shipments.
  • Author and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), component routings, and 2D/3D design models using CAD and ERP systems.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting on the shop floor to resolve assembly bottlenecks, component issues, or testing failures.
  • Review customer RFQs and drawings to translate technical specifications into practical manufacturing steps alongside sales and purchasing.
  • Lead lean initiatives to reduce production lead times, eliminate waste, and provide technical guidance to less experienced technicians and assemblers.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and an employer-matched 401(k) program.
  • Financial support for ongoing engineering coursework, professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Fluid Power certifications), and a clear advancement track.
