The Applied Materials’ Manufacturing Engineering Department is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op to join our team. This Co-op will be in a cleanroom environment and will provide you with hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly and modular test.

Requirements

• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• Student must be in good academic standing, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting and hands-on problem solving
• Must be a quick learner and willingness to learn new skills

Nice To Haves

• Engineering experience in development or manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Work closely with build and test technicians to identify process improvement opportunities
• Execute time studies on the build and test lines
• Lead small manufacturing process improvement projects
• Develop and update operation method sequences (OMSs)
• Support manufacturing engineering with part defect root cause analysis and processing
