This composites Manufacturing Engineering role reports directly to the Red Oak, Texas facility, requiring the candidate to be on site to fulfill the job responsibilities. The role involves supporting the manufacturing production of composite components and assemblies to ensure timely delivery of products that meet customer expectations. The engineer will analyze engineering designs in a new product introduction process and make recommendations for design improvements. They will develop manufacturing plans, defining sequence of operations, tooling requirements, and quality inspection plans. The position also includes leading continuous/process improvement initiatives, refining product processes using lean manufacturing principles, and providing day-to-day support to production operators and other functional teams to resolve technical issues and perform root cause corrective action. A key aspect of the role is working with mechanics throughout the bond process to identify defect contributors, implement corrective actions, and ensure adherence to best practices.
