About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer with experience in understanding manufacturing test procedures and troubleshooting complex digital and analog circuitry as part of an integrated product team supporting test solutions for new and existing vision systems and sensors supporting both commercial and military applications. This position’s primary role will be to support normal shift production testing. Time management, prioritization, quick context switching, and clear communication skills are a must. Daily tasks will include working in close coordination with other MEE’s, test technicians, industrial engineers, industrial engineering techs, design engineers, build operators, customers, suppliers and other support staff. The candidate that will fill this position will benefit from software experience/expertise in applications such as, lab view, National Instruments test stand application, Minitab data analysis tools, and use of troubleshooting equipment including and, not limited to: oscilloscopes, DMM’s, logic analyzers, power supplies and electronic loads. This position also requires supporting and troubleshooting of Environmental Stress Screening, vibration test equipment and associated software suites.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience may be obtained through on the job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

  • Experience transitioning products to production from an NPI environment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot flow inhibitors to differentiate between product failures and test failures
  • Provide Test technician support for production test related issues
  • Repair and maintain complex electrical and optical robotic test equipment
  • Support ESS functions for the product line
  • Make adjustments to test equipment to optimize performance
  • Conduct investigations into optimization opportunities
  • Support lean electronics improvement activities
  • Perform test document updates
