About The Position
Atkore is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Driver for its Harvey, Illinois location, approximately 30 miles south of downtown Chicago. This second-shift role moves and stores large bundles of steel tube within the manufacturing department. The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with occasional Saturdays. The successful candidate will operate sit-down forklifts and Combi-lifts (side loaders), transport and stack materials using proper inventory control procedures, and use a handheld scanner and printed work instructions. Within the first three months, the employee is expected to make progress on or complete job-specific training, become familiar with Atkore’s Business System and the role’s importance to daily operations, and gain a basic understanding of required duties and expectations.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of forklift-driving experience.
- Forklift and Combi-lift (side loader) experience moving large loads.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Ability to pass the post-offer employment process, including a drug screen.

- Experience in lean manufacturing or at a business system-based company.
