About The Position

This internship offers the opportunity to work with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and advanced data and AI technologies that support Nissan's manufacturing operations. You will gain hands-on experience developing digital solutions that enhance production processes, improve operational visibility, and support data-driven decision-making within a world-class manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Students entering their Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
• Experience programming in Microsoft VB Script, C#, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in manufacturing systems, automation, digital technologies, and AI applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
• Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and enhancement of manufacturing floor systems used to monitor and optimize production operations.
• Assist with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects that improve process efficiency and data visibility.
• Design, develop, and maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for manufacturing applications.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements through digital technologies.
• Support data and AI initiatives that drive operational excellence and manufacturing performance.
