Manufacturing Design Engineer
About The Position
In this role you will be taking written documentation and schematics on KLA products to assemble and build. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. The position also includes design engineering in coordinating the release of new products, estimating manufacturing costs, resolving time standards, and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements. You will maintain records and reporting systems for the coordination of manufacturing operations and perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects. The role requires working from rough schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components, as well as performing rework and quality testing, and interacting with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
- Mechanical proficiency
- Basic soldering skills
- Proven ability to read schematics
- Experience with calipers, micrometers, etc...
- Bachelor's Degree in related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in related field
Responsibilities
