Manufacturing Deco Material Handler (Forklift) - Night (D) Shift
About The Position
The Material Handler position is responsible for the distribution of materials throughout the production floor, scanning product and moving it to specified locations while operating powered industrial trucks in a safe manner. This role involves performing daily inspections on forklifts, trailer inspections prior to loading & unloading, stocking machines with correct materials by reading and interpreting lot information & material type, verifying WIP labels and carton ID labels with a hand held scanner, checking production quantity for accuracy, and transporting materials/product using a scanner. The position also requires moving product to the warehouse and assigning it to the proper location, practicing First In & First Out product movement, performing housekeeping duties, maintaining lot control traceability, assisting palletizers or operators when needed, controlling non-conforming product, and managing scrap identification & flow within production. Additionally, the Material Handler must work and perform to ISO Standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions, uphold Quality Standards, and follow the Absolutes. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
- Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Capable of operating a forklift in a safe and cautious manner to the satisfaction of the supervisor; six months of forklift driving experience required.
- Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs periodically.
- Ability to interpret work orders.

Responsibilities
