About The Position

The Manufacturing Data Analyst will be responsible for verifying and correcting data within the Plex system, ensuring its accuracy and standardization. This role involves collecting, analyzing, tracking, and supervising key departmental data, including KPI data, weekly and monthly reports, and managing overdue inventory. The analyst will also be involved in writing work instructions and providing training to guarantee system accuracy.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • More than one year working experience
  • Bachelor's degree and above
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
  • Familiar with company's production process and Plex operation
  • Familiar with EXCEL and other office software, need strong data analysis ability

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from multiple systems, including ERP, MES, sensor networks, and inventory platforms such as Plex.
  • Perform quantitative analysis and build predictive models to uncover trends in production efficiency, material usage, and quality deviations.
  • Generate automated reports and interactive dashboards for cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance), highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and scrap rates.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production inefficiencies and quality issues; provide actionable insights that support process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Utilize statistical software for hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and variance analysis in support of operational decision-making.
  • Apply financial and operational modeling techniques to optimize production scheduling, reduce inventory holding costs, and improve ROI on capital equipment.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical frameworks that ensure data accuracy, integrity, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with production teams and train operators and engineers on data collection methods, dashboard interpretation, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Apply financial modeling techniques to evaluate ROI on capital equipment investments and analyze trade-offs in production scheduling, labor allocation, and raw material purchasing strategies.
  • Build operational and financial forecasting models integrating manufacturing KPIs with budgeting and cash flow planning, directly supporting monthly variance analysis and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate barcode-based packing and inventory tracking, integrating logistics data with financial reconciliation systems to support timely and accurate cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) reporting.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, including cost-benefit analyses for new process implementations and budgeting impact projections for new production lines.
