About The Position
In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for a specific product family. quoting and estimating customer requests for a specific product family. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to support quoting, pricing, and profitability goals. This is a newly created position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or associate’s degree with related manufacturing experience
- Technical aptitude
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills

- Experience with ERP software
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer specifications, drawings, blueprints, and requirements to determine scope of work
- Develop detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, tooling, overhead, and run time
- Work closely with Engineering to determine manufacturability
- Partner with Manufacturing Leads, Supervisors, Machinists, Customer Service, Regional Sales Managers, Estimating, and Purchasing teams to develop, implement, and maintain various manufacturing plans, bills of materials, and work instructions
- Communicate internally and externally in a professional manner through email and phone
- Review and track variances against standards on various jobs and update standards where necessary
- Assist with manufacturing planning for specific product family
- Update ERP system with new/revised data
