About The Position

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will develop cost models, evaluate manufacturing scenarios, and partner with engineering and business teams to deliver cost-effective solutions in a global manufacturing environment. This role combines technical engineering knowledge, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional project coordination to drive financial and operational performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, cost analysis, or technical project leadership
Demonstrated experience developing cost models, estimates, or project plans for technical or manufacturing initiatives
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

Experience with cost modeling tools or financial analysis software beyond standard Excel
Background in global or multi-site manufacturing environments
Familiarity with quality management or project management methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP)
Experience working in a matrix organization or coordinating across global engineering teams

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cost models for manufacturing processes, equipment changes, facility relocations, and technical projects
Partner with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, schedules, and cost estimates
Provide technical input and project coordination to support the successful execution of engineering initiatives
Identify improvement opportunities, solve complex manufacturing and cost challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
