About The Position

The Manufacturing Cost Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and controlling manufacturing costs to improve profitability and operational efficiency. This role partners with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost reporting, identify cost reduction opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Maintain and update standard costs in ERP systems.
  • Perform variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights.
  • Support monthly closing activities, including inventory valuation and cost reporting.
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to evaluate cost impacts of process changes.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to manufacturing efficiency and cost performance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer, or plant.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
