The Manufacturing Coordinator I helps the production team achieve on time delivery by being the primary liaison between Customer Success, Production, Purchasing and Shipping. Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Order Management
  • Customer Service skills and experience working across different departments
  • Experience with Inventory control and using an ERP system (ideally Microsoft AX)
  • Solid understanding of production processes and equipment
  • Strong information technology skills and knowledge and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions or recommendations
  • Ability to work across functions to coordinate activity and solve problems
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and function well in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to use influence to achieve positive results
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily manufacturing queues and prioritize orders, including large-quantity, expedited, and remake jobs.
  • Support on-time delivery by identifying material constraints and coordinating BOM or scheduling adjustments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Toolpathing, Tech Ops, and CQEs to resolve order, build, and quality issues.
  • Provide special support for strategic customers and high-priority orders.
  • Partner with Customer Service to address late orders, ship holds, due-date changes, and customer inquiries.
  • Monitor labor, equipment, and demand to recommend capacity and machine allocation adjustments.
  • Help manage inventory-related issues, including supply shortages, discrepancies, vendor returns, and production supplies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts while serving as a resource for systems/process support, including AX and software issue escalation.
