About The Position

The Manufacturing Controller is responsible for directing the financial activities of the organization, which includes the preparation of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, internal controls, and financial analysis. This role provides financial oversight and strategic insight while ensuring accurate and timely reporting to leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to plant level financials, inventory, and operational reporting.
  • Strong practical cost accounting experience, including product costing and variance analysis.
  • Experience owning the full budgeting process and reviewing financial performance.
  • Comfortable operating at an executive level and translating numbers into business insight.
  • Ability to clearly explain financial results, trends, and risks to leadership and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting leadership experience, with prior experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • Experience operating within a multi-entity or holding company structure.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements.
  • Analyze operational and financial performance.
  • Own the budgeting process and oversee cost accounting.
  • Conduct weekly financial reviews with leadership.
  • Lead the accounting function and supervise staff.
  • Strengthen internal controls.
  • Partner with leadership to support long-term business decisions.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, providing financial guidance that supports operational and strategic goals.
