About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for a Manufacturing Compliance Technician to support Austin Operations on first shift. This role is a full-time, onsite position due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the requirement to perform all work onsite. The technician will perform a variety of compliance activities, including ESD equipment installations, testing, assessments, and certifications. They will work from design drawings, diagrams, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to ensure systems remain compliant and fully functional. The role also involves coordinating tool calibration cycles and transfers for the Metrology department, supporting chemical shelf life monitoring, and performing 7S/FOD assessments to support action closure.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Must be able to lift 20-40lbs
  • Computer proficiency to include data input, recordkeeping, spreadsheet manipulation, reading and interpreting documents
  • Motivated, ambitious, and self-starting with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Friendly, customer-focused attitude
  • Work effectively with a variety of hand tools and meters
  • Strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a successful working team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Technical associate’s degree
  • Mechanical experience and/or electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Understanding of test instruments such as multi-meters, voltmeters, resistance meters
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Install, replace and test ESD protective devices (e.g., ESD bench mats, carts, racks, constant monitors, ionizers, ESD flooring/mats, and soldering irons).
  • Perform six-month verification testing of all ESD protective devices.
  • Troubleshoot issues with ESD protective devices.
  • Coordinate ESD floor cleaning.
  • Provide support in determining which ESD protective devices are required (e.g., Ionizers, ESD matting, monitors).
  • Maintain accurate tracking/test records for ESD Control Items (e.g., ESD Compliance Verification List, ESD flooring, Ionization test data).
  • Purchasing/requesting items needed for ESD Control.
  • Drive compliance to the ESD command media requirements.
  • Perform quarterly ESD assessments.
  • Assist Metrology department with calibration cycles and department transfers.
  • Support weekly chemical checklist reviews.
  • Perform 7S/FOD assessments and ensure actions are reported and closed.
  • Support all areas of Production to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures as well as industry standards.
  • Participate in training sessions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
