About The Position

A large manufacturing firm in Redmond, WA seeks a skilled buyer for a 12-month contract. The role involves processing requisitions to ensure quality, service, delivery, and cost objectives are met in line with organizational sourcing strategies.

Requirements

Experience in purchase order management, supply chain, and inventory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookup and pivot tables.
Experience in buying, purchasing, procurement, and logistics.
Strong data entry skills and analytical abilities.
Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience in purchasing, buying, or material planning roles.
Proven success in managing multiple suppliers with a focus on quality and cost adherence.
Strong problem-solving skills to address material shortages, quality, and delivery issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with long lead items.

Responsibilities

Process requisitions in a timely manner, ensuring best quality, service, delivery, and cost.
Maintain supplier relationships, improving lead time, cost, and quality.
Compile, record, and track vendor information, supplier performance metrics, purchasing activities, and pricing data.
Create and maintain accurate purchase orders, defining inbound quantities and due dates from suppliers.
Stay informed on current market conditions and their impact on cost, lead time, and supply availability.
Maintain item and supplier information in the system.
Process Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
Expedite parts as needed and provide updates on backorders.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
Ensure compliance with corporate and department policies in all activities.
