Manufacturing Automation Technician

Mini-Circuits•Brooklyn, NY

About The Position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Its products serve wired and wireless communications, detection, measurement, imaging, automotive, medical, industrial, and military applications, and are sold to customers globally. The Manufacturing Automation Technician supports the construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated test handlers, fixtures, and supporting equipment for RF and microwave component production. The role performs hands-on assembly, debugging, and preventative maintenance to maintain equipment uptime, test reliability, and production efficiency. The salary range is $34.00–$38.00 per hour. The technician assembles mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic test fixtures; builds wire harnesses, cables, and electrical boxes; hand-solders RF and electrical connections; and operates 3D printers to make fixture components and prototypes. The role diagnoses and repairs fixture and automation issues, sets up and adjusts machines, sensors, vision systems, and pneumatic actuation, and performs maintenance and documentation. It also supports root cause analysis with engineers, performs light fabrication and machine-shop work, verifies parts with precision measurement tools, contributes to fixture changeovers and design improvements, and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area. The position requires a technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field. Relevant technician experience is preferred. Occasional travel, including some overnight travel, may be required.
