Requirements

• High School Graduate/GED/HSED
• Basic reading and math skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to use drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and various other tools and equipment
• Oral communication skills
• Basic team skills
• Basic organizational skills
• Ability to operate lift equipment as needed
• Physical ability to perform job duties
• Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision
• Understanding of related safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform various window and door assembly functions from start to finish
• Advise team members of shortages/quality issues
• Inspect each phase of assembly to assure quality
• Read and follow production lists
• Identify proper materials
• Work constructively with coworkers and leadership team
• Perform Safety audits
• Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions
• Participate in continuous improvement process and other lean initiatives
• Coach and train new associates
• Assure conformance with the 5S program
• Assure compliance with all safety related policies and procedures
• Understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals
• Serve as a member of the departmental team providing assistance as required
• Understand and adhere to all PPE requirements related to each work station
• Use drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and various other tools and equipment, as part of the assembly process
