About The Position
The Manufacturing Associate operates and/or maintains multiple machines according to job and safety procedures. The role involves following machine operating procedures, inspecting parts for quality, completing production documentation, and keeping machines running with minimal downtime. The associate also maintains an organized work area and trains machine operators as needed. This is a second-shift position with regular hours from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of light manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Obtain daily jobs from the Production Board.
- Read, understand, and follow all safety procedures when operating machines.
- Complete paperwork verifying part numbers and lot numbers.
- Complete Production Downtime Sheets documenting machine issues.
- Operate machines and their functions according to procedures, including running duds and/or using a gauge.
- Keep machines running with minimal downtime.
- Inspect parts throughout each process to ensure quality.
- Enter end-of-job information into the computer daily.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Train machine operators as needed.
