Requirements

  • Ability to learn new skills in a fast‑paced environment and willingness to cross‑train across multiple operations within the department
  • Possess problem solving, communication, teamwork and leader initiative
  • Ability to read and understand reports
  • Demonstrate strong competency in safety compliance, quality standards, proactive initiative, effective training participation, and a positive professional attitude

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety practices and procedures in the plant, including ensuring co-workers are adhering to all safety requirements
  • Perform assembly operations on window and door components in a manufacturing environment, following designated workstation and assembly area processes
  • Operate various machinery and production tools to fabricate quality products
  • Rotate between multiple workstations during each shift to support operational coverage, maintain workflow efficiency and ensure production continuity
  • Show initiative by seeking additional responsibilities, building knowledge of Andersen’s products, and working collaboratively as part of a team to assist coworkers when needed
  • Produce high quality work that conforms to company in accordance with established company standards and requirements
  • Participate in on-the-job training initiatives and transfer skills learned into daily work
  • Adhere to company standards and procedures, maintain a positive attitude, actively support employee engagement initiatives, and contribute to a respectful workplace
  • Maintaining consistent and reliable attendance, punctuality and dependability to support team operations and meet performance expectations
  • Escalate issues that may impact safety, quality, or productivity to supervisors or designated leads in a timely manner.
