About The Position

The Manufacturing Associate role involves operating and maintaining machinery in a production environment. Key responsibilities include setting up equipment according to specific procedures, reading factory orders, monitoring and adjusting the production process for quality, and accurately reading gauges and other test equipment. The role also requires working in close proximity to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical energy sources and adhering to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. Basic shop math and inspection skills are necessary. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for clean-up functions such as blowing down machines, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the work area, and managing scrap.

Requirements

Ability to work the off shifts - 3 pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am
Manufacturing experience
Stable work history
Reliable transportation
Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Set up machinery according to machine specific procedures
Reading factory orders
Monitor and adjust for quality throughout the production process
Accurately reading gauges and other test equipment
Work in close proximity to electrical, hydraulic and mechanical energy sources
Follow Lock out/ Tag out procedures
Utilizing basic shop math, inspecting
Clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap.
